Responsible Gaming

Gambling should stay a form of entertainment. It should not be treated as a regular source of income, a way to deal with debt or a method of recovering previous losses. Keeping track of the time and money spent playing can make it easier to recognise when gambling is moving beyond the limits you intended.

Keeping Gambling Under Control

If you begin spending more than you can comfortably afford, gambling starts interfering with everyday life, or you find it difficult to stop when you planned to, it may be time to reduce or pause your activity.

MateSlots provides account controls that can place limits on deposits, losses, wagers and session length. Cooling-off and self-exclusion options are also available when a longer break is appropriate.

A useful approach is to decide in advance how much money and time you are comfortable spending. Do not increase that amount because of a previous loss, a bonus promotion or a short-term winning streak.

Personal Limits

Personal Limits are available within the player account and can be used to restrict different parts of your gambling activity. A reduction to an existing limit takes effect immediately. An increase requires confirmation by email and can only take effect after the previous limit of the same type has expired.

Deposit Limit

Sets the maximum amount that can be deposited during a daily, weekly or monthly period.

Loss Limit

Restricts losses over a day, week or month. The calculation is based on the original deposited funds rather than winnings generated from that deposited amount.

Wager Limit

Places a cap on the total amount that can be wagered during a daily, weekly or monthly period.

Session Limit

Restricts how long you can spend gambling. The setting takes effect immediately. Once the selected session limit is reached, you will be logged out automatically. The available range is from 6 to 1,000,000 minutes.

Cooling-Off Period

A cooling-off period temporarily prevents deposits and excludes the account from promotional offers. Remaining funds can still be withdrawn during the selected period. The restriction begins immediately and the account is automatically reactivated when the period ends.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion disables the player account for the selected period and removes the account from promotional activity. Deposits and ordinary withdrawals through the account are unavailable while the restriction remains active.

Example: if you deposit €50 and set a Loss Limit of €10, then later win €1,000, the limit remains linked to the original deposited amount. It does not mean that only €10 of the subsequent winnings can be lost.

Self-Exclusion by Request

You can also ask the MateSlots support team to restrict access to your account for a fixed period or indefinitely. Once the restriction is applied, access to the account is blocked and promotional communications are stopped.

If funds remain in a self-excluded account, contact support so the withdrawal process can be arranged. The support team will provide information about the withdrawal and assist with the remaining balance.

Active self-exclusion does not remove any verification requirement that may apply before funds can be paid. Remaining balances are processed in accordance with the casino limits and the applicable verification procedure.

  • Choose whether you need a temporary or longer restriction.
  • Apply the available account control or contact the support team.
  • Do not attempt to create another account during the exclusion period.
  • Contact support if a remaining balance needs to be withdrawn.

Independent Help and Support

If gambling is becoming difficult to control, independent organisations can provide confidential information, practical guidance and additional support.

Gamblers Anonymous

A peer-support organisation for people who want help dealing with gambling problems.

GamCare

Provides information and support for people affected by gambling-related harm.

Gambling Therapy

Offers online information and support for people experiencing gambling problems.

Protection of Minors

MateSlots only accepts players who are at least 18 years old. Identity checks may be requested, and access will be refused when a player does not meet the legal age requirement.

Keeping Gambling Away from Minors

Because internet access is widely available, parents and guardians should take additional steps to prevent minors from reaching gambling websites. Keep account credentials private, avoid saving passwords on shared devices and consider parental-control or filtering software where appropriate.

18+

If gambling no longer feels like entertainment, stop and use the account controls available to you. Setting limits, taking a cooling-off period or choosing self-exclusion can be more useful when done early rather than waiting until the situation becomes harder to manage.
